Just the other day I mentioned the wealth of worthwhile record label samplers floating about on the internet recently. I’m going to continue along that theme by spreading some love to Gizeh Records. You can grab a 12-song sampler offered up by the label in their media section. Gizeh, based out of the UK, specializes in cinematic post-rock/slowcore and variations thereof. Fans of the genre will most definitely remember old-school BTID posts about Detwiije and Redjetson (R.I.P) way back in 2005, where I discussed their fine LP’s from that year. Other notable highlights from the sampler include the airy minimalism of Glissando (featuring Gizeh owner Rich Knox) and worriedaboutsatan’s warm glitch au jus.
