Solly
Get
it Wrong It's Alright (2005, self-released)(4.1/5)
Solly bring it on with a top-notch album of power-pop-rock
sing-alongs and touching ballads. The first third of the album had
me singing along and dancing (read: wiggling in my chair) instantly.
They follow this up with a few slower offerings which brought to
mind Josh Rouse at his best. The record closes with a few barn-burners.
'Worth It' lifts a riff directly from the Big Star/Badfinger canon,
'And Now' and closer 'Pick It Up' fall not too far behind. A very
solid album start to finish. Highly recommended for pop fans all
across the board.
